For today’s Oak-Town Tuesday, we’re highlighting our neighbor down the block: Actual Cafe, a place where bikes, civic engagement, and delicious food all coexist happily. Actual is an active community sponsor, helping nonprofits with events like a monthly music trivia night and a new Bicycle Bingo every Thursday (this Thursday’s Bingo night will benefit RTO!).
Actual has a great laid-back ambiance, and tasty food — including sodas made in-house, alcoholic beverages, and a weekend brunch menu that’s downright decadent. It’s fun to relax in their sidewalk seating, decorated with parklet planters that were built with an assist from RTO staff. It’s the kind of corner cafe that every neighborhood should have.
