The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) Minority Caucus is holding its annual conference right here in Oakland, and to celebrate the legacy of Martin Luther King Day, they kicked off the event with a day of service in the community. Â Rebuilding Together Oakland worked with the IBEW to provide much-needed electrical upgrades to eighteen low-income elderly or disabled homeowners in the City of Oakland; the homeowners were grateful and happy for the help, and all of our union volunteers were so enthusiastic about their work and impact — it was truly a great day all around!
