For today’s Oak-Town Tuesday, we’re highlighting Save the Bay — an Oakland-based nonprofit which works on bay and wetlands maintenance and restoration throughout the area. It’s planting season right now, so we at Rebuilding Together Oakland went out to the Martin Luther King Jr Regional Shoreline (near the Oakland airport) and helped out this morning. We had a great time working in the sunshine and helping to plant nearly 400 native plants along the shore, and if you’re biding your time until the next RTO event, they’re always looking for some eager volunteers!
