Rebuilding Together Oakland brings communities and volunteers together to repair the homes of low income homeowners in Oakland so they may live in safety, comfort and independence.

Just a few highlights from our October Block Building event on Saturday, October 8. Almost 400 volunteers joined us in the Golden Gate neighborhood of North Oakland where together, we worked on twelve homes, two schools, one recreation center, and one facility for adults in transition. Additionally, we sent teams to the streets for litter clean-up, landscaping, and beautification throughout the neighborhood, and enjoyed a lunchtime visit from Oakland Mayor Jean Quan. It was hard work, but lots of fun!
